How to Play "Knights of Cydonia" by Muse

Hi this is Joe Wiles with the Rock and Roll Conservatory on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment we're taking a crack at "Knights at Cydonia" by Muse. The riff we're going to explore is about four minutes and thirteen seconds into the song or so. It's that riff right after the breakdown o.k. Let's take a look. The riff starts with the fifth fret of the A string. We're going to be hammering on to the seventh fret of the A string as well. Then comes a little riff. Again, that's five seven five on the A string, five on the D string, seven five on the A string. Slowly that's. Put those two together. The next riff is going to be the fifth fret on the A string and the seventh fret on the E string. Then hammer on on the A string fifth fret to seventh fret. Those two put together. Then you're going to be pulling off from the seventh fret of the A string to the open A string. on the E string, seven five three then pull off from the third fret to the open E string. In context slowly that sounds like this. Give that a try that's a good pentatonic workout. In our next segment we're going to be talking "Cult of Personality" by Living Color. I'll see you there.
