Hi, this is Joe with the Rock and Roll Conservatory, on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment, we're going to talk about Kiss' Rock and Roll All Night and Party Every Day. Now, a couple things, it's in 1/2 step down tuning. You're going to have to tune your guitars a 1/2 step down. The other thing you're going to want to remember is that it's based on power chords, but there are a couple modifications to the power chord. And the last thing, we all want to make note of, is that this is a two guitar song, and that the part I'm going to show you, is just one of the guitars. OK? Let's go to the guitar and take a look. Now this is based on a modified D power chord. You're going to put your index finger on the 5th fret of the A string, your ring finger on the 7th fret of the D string. OK? Now we're going to push our wrists down, so we can stretch our pinkies up here, to the 9th fret. The introduction looks like this. Again, that's, we're doing some hammer-ons and some pull-offs. Strumming all the strings at the same time. We're going to come down to an A power chord, which is your index finger on the 5th fret of the E string, your ring finger on the 7th fret of the A string, and your pinky on the 7th fret of the D string. We're going to come up to an E power chord, another modified power chord. Index finger on the 7th fret of the A string, ring finger on the 9th fret of the D string, and we're going to do this little action again. With the hammer-on again. OK? Those three chords, here, here, and here, kind of define this song. Let's put them in order. It starts off with the D one. Down to the A. Up to the E. Back to the A. Up to the E. Slide it down to the D. Back up to the E, then back down to the D. In context, slowly, that riff sounds like this. To speed, it sounds like this. Now practice that riff a few times through, until it's solid. OK? In the next segment we're going to talk about Barracuda by Heart. I'll see you there.
