The Machete, or Long Knife: Basic Knife Care

Now we have a type of knife that is familiar to pretty much everyone. This is a machete. As you can see, it’s been through some hard times. It has a lot of rust on the blade which can be taken off with a rust remover. This is primarily used for chopping brush. This can be used for slashing or chopping. It is very rarely used for any kind of thrusting motion, but it is used for chopping brush or clearing out places where there is a lot of undergrowth. It is very handy if you need to be clearing out your yard during the spring or summer season.
