Recreational Opportunity Tips in Jail
What's up? My name is Natural and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village to discuss how to survive in prison. In this clip I will be discussing the importance of making use of recreational facilities and recreation itself in the prison system in order to survive. While I spoke about education in the last clip, this is kind of the balance to that. There is also a lot of recreation that is offered in the prison system and it's a very good way to affiliate yourself with people to learn something about the school of hard knocks, to get some other people's experience under belt and also to have fun. I mean having fun isn't necessary part of satisfactory or happy living. So in order to survive in the prison system without losing your sanity, you quiet obviously need to take place in some recreational activities. They offer everything from talent shows to game nights and a lot of time when you compete in those things or participate in those things you win prizes and that of course always feels good. They also offer various concerts like church affiliated concerts and otherwise and fortunately when I was there we had a series of authors visits and Octivia Butler, who is one of my favorite authors a black science fiction author, she was able to come to the prison and visit us and we got to listen to some of the things that she had to say. All of that basically helped to make it a better experience for me to help me keep my mind essentially. I had an opportunity for different forms of culture and you know you wouldn't necessarily expect that in the prison experience but when it does come, it's very refreshing and I think that it is very necessary to the survival while you're incarcerated.
