On behalf of Expert Village this is Lizbeth Muller. Today I'm going to teach you how to make chicharros which is split pea soup. The ingredients to split pea soup we call it chicharro that is what Cubans call it. Split pea soup has a lot of meat ingredients and it has some vegetables and it depends on the kind of vegetables you want to use when you do your chicharro split pea soup. I use a little bit and not much of this beef right here which we call skirt steak and what falda in Spanish. It is really thick and it is like you know this meat is tough to cook. They use it a lot for fajitas people use a lot of meats to cook on the grill, fajitas like I said but there is a lot of falda used when it comes to soups. Especially in Spanish cooking.
