Now we're going to learn to go over measures seven and eight, and if we take a look here, we have to analyze again, we have flat three and five, and these are our half notes, our theme notes for the day, those two beats to each half note, right. Two half notes to a whole, so we have one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four. And these notes are actually tied together. If you have two notes that are the same note and they're connected with a slur marking here, and it's the same note on each side, they're tied and it's just played, one, two, one, two, three, four, one, two, so I'm going to hold this down. I'm not going to hit it again here. I just hold it down through the whole thing. And then we have quarter notes here, we have one flat three and six for two, and then one, three, and flat seven for two, and it alternates. So if we look at my hands, we have one, flat three and six, and then one, three and flat seven. And then our right hand has this melody, flat three and five, and then three and six. So we got... again. And notice I didn't play those two tied notes twice, it would sound like this otherwise, right. But I just held them down. And that brings us into our next couple of measures, which starts off our reggae section, as we go through and analyze some rhythm.
