How Much Does Carpet Cost?VICTOR FEGHALI: Hi. This is Victor for ExpertVillage.com, and we are here at Foothill Carpet to show you how to buy carpet for your home. So some of the price ranges for carpet would be--basic carpets would start around $1.80 a square foot installed, and we would say installed because, normally, people get carpet and padding and installation. And that's how the industry price carpets now, installed prices. And they go anywhere from, as I said, $1.80 a square foot up to--some of the more expensive carpets would be about $12 a square foot, so there's a wide range in between. There is every price range for everybody's needs.
