Filling Cookies with Jam for a Tea Party

Alright, so now it's time to do the last step of the lemon thumbprint cookies. They cook in the oven, about twenty-two minutes, they got this really nice golden color, and they smell almost like shortbread, but with a little hint of citrus, right, because of the lemon juice that we added. So, try and find the smallest spoon you can find to do this to fill the little wells with jam. And isn't that cute? It's all ready to go on the top tier of our three-tiered cake pedestal. It's perfect for this tea party. Now, you can use any jam you like. If you happen to have a homemade preserve, that would be very special since your cookies are also homemade and you can have your little homemade jam as well. That would be very nice. But, if you don't, no big deal. I'm using raspberry today because I find that that's a really nice combination with the lemon. But, you can certainly use a strawberry jam, a cherry preserve, a mixed berry. Lemon and blueberry is actually another really nice combination you often see in muffins and they taste, just really lovely. On top of the lemon cookie a little bit of fresh blueberry jam. OK, so those are placed. I'm going to see if I can fit a couple more in here. I have a feeling they're going to go quickly. And then we're ready to put on a pot of tea and our guests will be here any minute.
