The Bars Field of the Akai MPC 4000

In this next step I'm going to show you how to edit bars. How to take certain bars and switch them to different locations. How to shorten them, extend them, and how to copy them. In the sequence block there's one main way to copy bars. Especially if you want to copy bars from one sequence to another sequence or from one measure to a different measure. You go to the sequence box and you highlight the bars number and press window. When you press window there's going to be three options. You can either insert, delete, or copy. In this sequence we're going to copy the first two bars and put them behind the second bar. For a total of four bars. So what we're going is we're going to cut the first bar at one and the last bar at two and then place it on the same sequence after the second bar. And we're probably going to put maybe three copies, so this going to lead to eight bars now when we're all set.
