Self defense video: rear hold
This is a very bad situation to be in. He’s going to be pushing down on my head, restricting the blood flow again and also possibly breaking my neck. It’s not a fun situation and should never be done as a joke to your friends. But if it is done by my friend I can tickle his arm or possibly even grab some hair to get him to let go. Don’t just start beating away on your friend. Grabbing in and just peeling away at the fingers, regardless of how tight can still peel away a finger. This allows one hand to be free to do whatever else I need to do at the time. Keep in mind a lot of chokes and holding techniques are not going to be done from a standing position. You have already gone to the ground and are wrestling around whenever a lot of chokes and holds are put on you. So you’re not going to have the ability to get up and move or use your arms to grab a hold of them or to strike. Its very important to not let yourself get to that situation. Stopping them before they get to that point is normally the best thing. Then you can see where they’re at. Think about it, someone is reaching up under your arms, if you don’t know them you might as well stop them.
