Uhh...you turned your head the wrong way in the first technique. You also didn't tuck your chin in the second technique giving your assailant easy access to your throat since your hand on his arm is NOT going to be enough to keep someone even w/ average strength from getting thier forearm across your windpipe in a REAL situation. Very bad example.

And this one as well, I only have a few moments to get some air before I start to lose blood to the brain and oxygen. I’m going to turn my head and bring one hand up so that I can get between his arm and my neck and lock it down. I can still use this other hand to reach up and peel him away, use some sort of striking technique into his ribs or striking into his knee to help loosen this up. Once I have him here, I can normally come away and pull away. Same idea as before, reach this hand in and pull down hard. So that you have some room. They’re going to be pulling really hard to choke and strangle you. They may even be trying to pull you into a car or someplace you don’t want to go. Use this extra hand to soften him up and help loosen it so that you can get away.
