Market & Sell Your Children's Book: Pt. 1
Hi! I’m Angela Sage Larsen. On behalf of expertvillage.com, today, we’re going to talk about publishing your own children’s story. Please visit my web site at petalwinkthefairy.com. In marketing your book, which could possibly be the most important part besides actually writing and publishing it, you want to consider who are you selling the book to. You’ve already determined who your reader is, but think about who is actually going to be buying the book for your reader. It could be the reader themselves, or it could be grandparents, parents, teachers, friends. So of course if your book is educational, then think about marketing to teachers, think about who your market is. With our book, Petalwink Learns to Fly, we knew that our ideal reader was girls 3-6 years old. But who was going to be buying the book for the girls, was another question.
