Sequencing Reggaeton Beats With a Korg Triton Keyboard

So now today we're going to go over how to use a Korg Sequencer and we're going to make a Reggaeton beat and this is a sample. If you want to hear the actual beat we make today, you can skip ahead to the last track. This is again, we haven't made that beat yet so I'm just going to play you a sample. And you see we have the different elements of Reggaeton in there and we'll show you some different stuff as we go through slow. We'll show you the bass and the snare and how to get that down. Again, if you listen to a lot of Reggaeton music, you already have this beat in you and you'll be able to get it on the keyboard really easy. We're going to go through and show you how to just get a one minute or a one measure loop, and we're going to do all the drums one measure and then we're going to show you how to copy it and get four measures out of that. And then we'll add in some bass, we'll add in some percussion, we'll add in some keyboards, and we'll make it sound really hot. And again, if you want to hear what it sounds like at the end, you can click on the last track and we'll be doing some stuff with the beat we made today slow, one by one. And we'll show you how to do it on this Korg Triton. And I have an older version, but the same versions have the exact same buttons and the exact same method for putting the beats together. So you'll be able to go on your Korg Triton and start making some hip Reggaeton beats.
