Hi! This is Josiah Owen for Expert Village and today we will be talking about making Neopolitan Vegetarian Lasagna. And now we are going to talk about cutting fresh basil for Lasagna. First thing you want to do is cut off the ends or any discolored parts. Cut the stems off or if you prefer, you can just tear. There is nothing like cooking with fresh spices especially basil. Basil goes really good with hummus and definitely adds a nice little kick when you are cooking and discard the stems. The big pieces you can go ahead and cut in half and you just want to cut into small little pieces. I personally could eat whole basil leaves with my food but I'm a unique individual. So you just want to make sure these are nice and small for your guests. Or if you want to try and spice things up, you can always try to find some mint basil or add some mint with your basil. Cut them really really small, nice and fine; just like that.
