Hi! This is Josiah Owen with Expert Village and today we4 are talking about making Neopolitan Vegetarian Lasagna. And now we are gonig to talk about chopping our onions for our Lasagna. I am going to go ahead and cut the top part off and we are going to peel the outer part of the onion off. After we've peeled the onion, you can go ahead and flatten the other side; small tiny little cut just so the onion will sit there. One way I've learned to chop onions is to cut tiny little slits not all the way through though; almost all the way to the bottom and all the way across the onion. Then turn and cut the exact opposite way. Make sure that you get your fingers out of the way. You don't want to cut your finger and what you want to do is turn it on its side making sure that your fingers are out of the way and you just want to cut down. This saves a lot of time and effort chopping up rest of the onion. For this, we are only going to need 1 cup of onions; excuse me, 1/2 cup of onions so we are not going to use all of this but you can go ahead and chop it all.
