Working with a Chip Boards in Scrapbooking

Hi, welcome back to Expert Village. You're watching arts and crafts and everything fun. We are learning how to embellish our scrapbook with my guest, Sonya Shepherd. Hi. Hi, so what is next with all this embellishing fun? Well next, there's another material that you can use to embellish and that's called chip board. And it's basically a kind of a medium weight cardboard or dense cardboard. This is in it's raw format. Really you can do all sorts of fun things with it. You can cut up shapes, you can paint it, ink it, cover it with paper, use it for matting or for framing. Anything really and it's just going to create a great customized embellishment for your layout. Creative Cafe comes with a couple different kinds of chip boarding. Has the sheets that are color coordinated to the Creative Cafe. And it also has the dye cut shapes. We have a selection of them here. But there just for little chock keys that you would just use to add some pizzazz to your piece. So won't you pick one out and we'll throw it on there. Okay, I like what you did with this. She showed me, I'm cheating. And I kind of like the arrow. The arrow is super fun. Too fun yes. There you go like going like from there to there. Okay, sounds great. Now you're want to use again our favorite, alright the glue dots. Absolutely. I can never see them for some reason. There, whoops, what did I do wrong? Well, it's sort of ripped off on the cardboard a little bit. Give it a little more pressure. Okay, now more pressure and maybe a little bit slower. I was too rough. Yeah. Peel a little softer. And this is good, this is good. Fun. But again, once it's on there, it's on there. Really it's a great adhesive. And for this one, oops, I'm gluing my own fingers, so I'm gluing this. Also make sure you do it slowly because if you don't, it's just not going to work out. And the reason you're doing the peel method, the transfer method, is that if you tried to peel these glue drops off with your fingers. What happens? They just gum up. The just become little balls of glue. Oh no. And they make sort of a mess. Yeah. So this is really the easiest way to work with them. And their really a great adhesive. There you go, and look how fun. So this is our little embellishment showcase layout. Yeah I definitely doesn't make any sense. There's no story telling but it's fun. Sticking them all on there. Absolutely. It's a lot of fun, great. You have different I oops, look what I did. You have different shapes and I put glue on these little corners. Watch out for glue dots because they will get everywhere. That's why I usually put the transfer roll around them. They are bad, so you have some fun shapes like this: the little price tags. And I'll get the glue later. Okay, that's fine, no problem. So there's a lot of fun. Again we can get this at your store, at: http://www.thecropcircle.net. Fabulous. So what's next? We're going to use the corner adorners. There you go so coming up next.
