Hi, I'm Doug, I work with twenty great guys in St. Louis at Doug Jenkins Custom Hot Rods and we're going to do some work for you today on Expert Village. Now we need to make sure that the oil pump, pickup fits up in there correctly, and it doesn't so we have to modify the windage plate a little bit there. So he's holding it up and just taking a good guess, Mark's been doing this kind of stuff for a long, long time so he's just guessing there. You know it's not that important, it's not seen, he just wants to do clean work. So he uses a Sharpie marker there and a punch there to center the drill bit and it's a drill bit just for this kind of stuff. He's just doing that so he makes a nice clean curve at the end of the hole. He'll use the a wooden block there to save the drill bit. So with that nice drilled end there he just makes a nice straight cut with the band saw. And cleans up the cut with a metal file and a rat tail file so everything is nice and clean. Good looking and doesn't get anybody cut and there again he's cleaned all the burs off before he gets it anywhere near that engine.
