Introduction to Playing Slide Guitar

Hi! My name is John Armstrong with expertvillage.com. I am a professional guitar instructor and today we will be discussing slide guitar and slide guitar techniques. Okay the first thing I would like to discuss concerning the slide is, it is just another way of achieving a slurring technique where we do not pick the note. The slide allows us to slide evenly from one note to the next somewhat as if we have just picked a note and fretted with it or hammered on. But it just kind of drags the note a little further.
