Upright Bass in F: Simple Progression

Now we're going to walk our first simple progression, and all it is is, here you have it right here, you got G minor for two measures, and then we have F major for two measures. Now you think this should be simple, but it's really easy how we approach it. Now what we're going to do is we're going to walk four notes in this scale, and we're going to lead into F. So we got G, F, G, F, G, F, G, F, so, by voice leading and walking into the root that we're leading into, it sounds very good, and what's great is you can walk down from G, and you hit G on your seventh note, right, seven note scale. And then your next note is F, so you're right there on the downbeat, right. So that's a simple walk-through, through a simple progression, and how to voice lead as you go through and start reading more complex chord changes.
