Upright Bass in F: G Minor

Okay, so now that we've walked F major, we're going to learn G minor, right. So F major, G comes right after it in the alphabet, if you look at your chart, G is right here, right. F, G. So we want one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, one. So now what we're going to do is make G one, and walk from G one to one. So we got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, one. And that will give us our minor scale. And what's really important about it is if you look at it, your F major, your third is right here, fret back, and your minor, your third is two frets back, and then your seventh is also on the same measure. Here our seventh was over here, right, it's up a fret. Now our seventh is here. So we have a minor third and a minor seventh. And that is what defines a minor scale. So we got G, A, E flat, C, D, E, F, G. So I'll walk that and that will be our minor scale. So that's your minor scale from G to G, and we'll go through and do more on the scale, in just a minute.
