Upright Bass in E: Walking Progression

So now we're going to look at our next four measures, and we have F sharp minor for a measure, B seven for a measure, and then E major for two measures. So we have to start on F, and then land on B, and then walk eight beats of E major, and then come back to F again. So, we'll start right here, so we have F sharp, one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four, and one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four, one, two , three, four...so that's your basic progression walking through the bass, and again you just find those root notes, and then you walk through the appropriate scale, and make sure you always land on the downbeat, on the root of the chord.
