So now what we're going to do is take what we learned and put it on paper so you can relay and if you click on the link that is listed on the top of the page this will come up and you can print this out at home, but here we have a basic look at the bass. If you think about it here's your headstock. You have your E string, your A string, your D string, and your G string. So your lowest string going to your highest string. And here are your open notes, E, A, and then this is your first fret. This is the second fret where we got the fifths from. So you had E, B, B, E, B, E, B, B, E. And then we did A, E, A. And then we went and found our fourth finger position and notice we skipped this fret here. We have F sharp, C sharp we played. Root, fifth, root, five, five, root, fifth, F, C, F sharp, C sharp, F sharp, C sharp, F. So now we have our first finger on this first fret. Our second finger on this second fret and our fourth finger on this fourth fret and we can go through the scale. E, F sharp, G sharp, A, B seven, C sharp, D sharp, E. Or we can say open, second finger, fourth, open, second finger, fourth, first finger, second. And that's your scale. E, F sharp, G sharp, A, B seven, C sharp, D sharp, E. So we're going to go through and play that and it keeps going up. F sharp, G sharp, A, B. So you have open, two, four, open, two, four, one, two, four, one, two, four. So if you go and look at it on the bass, it makes a lot more sense to see it visually. Open, two, four, open, two, four, one, two. And then we keep going. Four, one, two, four. And that's our E major scale. And now we're take this and tear it apart in our next couple of segments and show you how to walk this E major scale and how to practice it and really get it under your fingers.
