Again, I want to just go over that when you go through on the upright, you want to use one, two and four. And a great technique to start getting your fingers out of your way is to do it chromatically. One, two, four, one, two, four. I did it wrong. One, two, four, one, and then you use your third finger on the tap the fourth time. That should be the active. Hear how that's the same note? So, you got, one, or open, one, two, four, one, two, four, one, two, four, one, two, and then right there on the active and that's a good technique for getting your first couple of notes down. But again, we're concentrating right on the low, open end of the bass, so we're not going to move our hand at all. We're going to use all one, two, four down here and your hand will be spread out like this. Again, we void the third finger. Very pulled in. You can mess up your fingers if you use the third finger. You can get tendinitis. So you want to be very careful. One, two and four and you want to keep your thumb right here, perched on the back of the neck, right in the middle.
