Hi! I'm Brenda F. Dixon, the owner of Life Help Now in Nashville, Tennessee. We're here with Expert Village. We're talking about the causes of depression. We've spoken a little about stress, people having things pull on their lives so much where they have to do too much work, or maybe they don't have enough work to do. Maybe they have a fear of losing their job. Maybe they have too many bills, too many things going on. That stress is so powerful that depression can kick on them and pull them down. Another cause or another component is stress. A person really doesn't know how to get out of that stress and they just kind of ruminate the thought over and over. That thought will actually create a cause of depression. It's just like medications. It's just like illness. It's just like stress. Those 3 will actually cause people to have depression.
