Welcome back my name is Alisha and I'm with Expert Village. Another great way to soothe a crying baby is rhythmic sounds. Some kids just love it weather you could actually buy a bear a that sounds like it is in the mother's womb which is a sound they are very familiar with since they lived in there for 9 months. Another great thing is using the vacuum cleaner, that is a great rhythmic sound that kids would usually fall asleep to. I know I can fall asleep to a vacuum but hey whatever. Another great sound is either a washing machine or the dish washer. It is a consistent sound that just keeps repeating itself and kids just love that sound. Another great rhythmic sound is the ceiling fan or a portable fan in either room. Kids love to look at it move and they like the sound that it makes. It is a nice settle light noise. But they still enjoy it a lot. Another great technique for soothing a crying baby is a touch. My son just love to be touched even if you are just right next to them. Another thing is they are sometimes a little bit gassy and if you actually just pump the legs to the chest and back down that may help actually release some gas pressure in their abdomen.
