MAN: The next thing I'm going to show you is exactly how to record in the way you should be recording. The settings and knowing what to do when--for what you're trying to record. When recording your sample, you want to first make sure your input source is the correct one, either it's an internal CD or it's a analog in from a record player, whichever one it is. Make sure you choose either stereo, mono for your mode, and 16 and 24-bit for your bit rate. 16-bit will make it a little bit more grainier sounding, a little bit less qualit, but it has its own kind of sound. The next thing you want to make sure your set is in the recording start. You either want to set your recording start to your manual position or to your threshold. The threshold will basically--when it goes above -47DB is when your recording is going to stop, all right? The thing right after that is the time. The time is going to actually say--it's going to actually tell the MPC to stop recording. So when you record just press record button, start it, and stop it. It'll ask you to keep it, retry it, or you could play it.
