Free Parking in Monopoly in Monopoly the Board Game
Monopoly has a lot of rules but they do have alternate rules and one of the most infamous rules that people use is the free parking rule. Under this rule, all money owed to the bank instead gets put in the middle of the playing board. When someone lands on free parking, all the money that is accumulated in the middle goes to the player that landed on free parking. This can take much of the strategy out of the game because the tide could quickly turn if a large amount of money has accumulated. This makes the game more luck than skill. Be extremely aware of anyone who wants to play with a free parking or any other type of alternate rule.
