Go Directly to Jail in Monopoly the Board Game
Going to jail can be a big pain but on occasion it can also be very beneficial. If the board is wide open and there are many properties that are available to bought, you should get your stuff out of jail immediately. However, if there are very few properties available and many of them are developed you may be better off just serving your sentence. This is especially true when you are low on cash. Another scenario for going to jail can be an advantage, is when you are trying to snatch up an important piece of property that you just rolled past. You may have to take a $200 hit but it will be a lot quicker than going around the board again.
