1st Passage of Playing a Fake Book Melody in G Major

So now that we've gone and figured out our notes, out of the passage, we're going to look at how we play it on the piano, and you'll notice that I'm still playing in this G major pattern. This will really help to get that system down. So we got one, five, six, five, six, five, four, three, two, three, four, three, three, one, one, two, one, three, five, four, six, three, five, seven, two, five, one. And again we have quarter notes, eighth notes, triplet, quarter, sixteenth, then eighth, quarter, quarter. So very easy, and we stayed right within this G major pattern and we just numbered it one, two, three, four, five, six, and seven. And we'll show you more on these patterns as we take the same pattern and do it in a different key, and then we're going to read this in a different key, and play it in G. And you'll see how easy it is if you just know where to start.
