Hi, I'm Chris Faircloth, Artistic Director and co-owner of Salon Teez. For Expert Village this is how to trim women's hair. Another method of creating texture in the fringe area is by sectioning the hair out just around the hair line so that we keep a layer of the fringe on the bottom, but now we've pulled the entire piece up, that was left, which should give us more of a triangle type of section just in the top of the head. And by pulling this straight up and off the top I can slightly turn and just use my thinning shears to cut the hair until all the hair is gone. I'm not moving my fingers. I'm keeping my fingers in one place, just thinning the hair out or shortening that hair and creating more of a textured result in the fringe area, so now I've got a nice layering effect going on and a softer effect in my fringe area.
