How to Blunt Cut Sides for Women's Hairstyles

Hi, I'm Chris Faircloth, Artistic Director and co-owner of Salon Teez. For Expert Village, this is how to trim women's hair. Again, seeing where the comb rocks on the head, for the forward and back, gives us an idea of where the hair will naturally fall. Place the comb end just at the top of the ear, rock the comb, see where the comb comes off the head, place your finger there and then just draw a straight line right around towards the front. And the top section, up and out of our way. Now comb part of the middle section to where we see our guide in the back. Let that slightly slip through your fingers and then just cut. Now I'll drop the top section over this section and use the bottom of that as my guide as we work around. I have my guide underneath, slip my fingers till it just disappears and then cut the hair. Now I can comb the very front section to the front, so now I've got a nice even hair cut all the way around the hair. As I comb this back and out of her face, you can see that everything pretty much lines up the way we want it to and being even.
