How to Write "Porridge" in Chinese Symbols

The last word about Chinese food I'm going to teach you is for rice porridge, Zhou or xi fan. For rice porridge, it is Zhou, so you can see the part in the middle is very meaningful because it means rice, mi. The middle part is mi which means rice. The left and the right part are the same, this is Zhou. Zhou is the term for rice porridge that we use in north China and in south China people prefer to call rice porridge xi fan. In this word, fan is rice and xi is watery. Xi fan is not as dry as rice, they are watery. It's very easy to understand the meaning, xi fan for rice porridge. The last part for xi is written like this, which means grain. This is what we call in Chinese, a grain radical and here the right part of xi is the pronunciation radical. This pronunciation is exactly as xi fan. Let's write the two radicals again, don't forget from left to right. Zhou and xi fan both are for rice porridge.
