How to Wrap a Christmas Gift with Fabric

Hello, my name is Melissa Schenk. On behalf of Expert Village today we are going to be talking about how to wrap up your Christmas presents cost effectively. In our final clip let's talk about using fabric, wall paper and your kids art work. So think about it for a moment if you take some old fabric that you got or you if you go to the fabric store usually you can find some great sales on some fabric. They are either discontinuing or they don't want especially holiday fabric and if you buy it in January for next year you'll save some even more money. Because there are lots of sales out there, same thing with wall paper if you ask usually in a wall paper store if they have any discontinued wall paper that they don't want anymore. Some of it again you can wrap your presents in wall paper, tie a beautiful bow or ribbon on it. Get some fancy ribbons to go with that wall paper and people would never know if that is wall paper. It's amazing what you can find out there. Same with your kids artwork see if you can get some long paper and get your kids to hand prints on it or if they make Christmas tree or if they draw on it with crayon. Especially if you're given things to aunts or uncles or parents, teachers, grandparents, it's really a personalized way of giving a gift to somebody but also with that extra personal touch of the gift wrap. Especially for family members they love it and it's a wonderful bond experience also for your kids. But going back to fabric even if you take a piece of fabric you notice that I tend to have a basket for everything but I also have a basket here for just ribbons. So I keep all sorts of different ribbons here but all you need is perhaps a piece of green fabric, some red ribbon we have here, tie a bow and you'll be all set to go.
