How to Wrap a Christmas Present with Gift Bags

Hello, my name's Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village, today we are going to be talking about how to wrap your Christmas presents cost effectively. In this clip let's talk about using recycled gift bags. If you think about it for a moment, every year people give you gifts as well as you giving gifts to others. So what I do is I keep a basket of holiday bags and in there I got some beautiful bags that people have given me and then what I do is year I tend to go out and buy some perhaps some new tissue paper and some new ribbon but not necessarily new gift bags. Gift bags can be very expensive and a great way to save some money is just to again recycle your holiday gift bags. So for instance, this was something that someone had given to me and I found some tissue paper with some snowflakes on it as well that compliments the front of the bag. Only cost me a couple of dollars in tissue paper and it still looks fantastic. Same as this bag here, I used a recycle bag there, got it some new tissue and got some pipe cleaners and tied them on top with a couple of ribbons and the bag is set to go, ready for the holidays. This one here, again a recycled gift bag, but I added a bow on to the front and complimented it with some lovely tissue paper as well. So you can see, if you save your recycled gift bags, you can spend a couple of dollars on some fancy tissue paper, some ribbon and some bows and your all set to go.
