Treating Infertility with Acupuncture: Guide to Alternative Medical Treatments

One thing that’s coming from questions that people call us up about is coming from searches that people are doing on the web is whether or not Oriental medicine will make a difference with infertility. There have been multiple studies to show that it makes a difference for people in terms of IUI’s, IVF’s, and also if people just don’t want to invest that type of funds yet to see whether or not they can get pregnant but would like to try something a little less invasive like Oriental medicine. Infertility is something that’s not very difficult for us to work with. There’s always a reason that someone is not able to get pregnant, it’s usually very clear when they come in with their intake and they fill out those forms that I was talking about earlier. And so, when we work with somebody we usually see them for, it might take you know, we usually say three to six months with some regular acupuncture and we’ll also give them some herbs or supplements to take that we’ll give them to take that will help to tonify them from the inside and shift the root reasoning to why they’re not getting pregnant. So I actually have a pretty good success rate for getting people pregnant so I feel very grateful for that. People will also come in once they are pregnant because it allows them to be healthier and so my husband, Will Mitchell is going to talk more about how Oriental medicine can help with a better pregnancy and a shortened labor.
