Helping Kids Slice Vegetables

Hi. I am Katalin. I am the creator of Creative English in Hungary. Now we are here on behalf of Expert Village. We are going to make a fruit and vegetable juice. Try to a merge with different studies with cooking. First of all the measurement. That they can um, measure the quantity of different ingredients. So they can make different sense between um, the different uh, measurements. And also you can teach them the counting or you can practice the counting with them when they need certain um, pieces of something. Teach them the different shapes. In the way that maybe you make some doughnuts or pancakes that are round and then you make some square food or, or, or types of food so you can, you can actually insert these studies into, into cooking. You can cut off the end of the carrots. Brilliant. When you have a younger child make sure that you give him a knife that is sharp but at the same time it’s not pointed. And they can easily cut themselves. So this is a suitable knife for that. And of course you need to teach your child how to cut the end of the carrot so they shouldn't hold the carrot very close to the knife. Very good! Right on! Shall I cut the carrots in half? Um, yeah please do. That's a good idea. What should I do? I want to cut a couple.
