Tips for Helping Kids Flip Pancakes

Hi. I am Katalin. I am the creator of Creative English in Hungary. We are here on behalf of Expert Village. Now we are going to show you how you can cook with children. We are going to make some pancakes. After cooking something or meanwhile they are cooking um, children quite like tasting the food. So be careful and tell them how to taste the hot food. Because obviously, they are too small and they shouldn't actually reach up to the bowl. They should, you should take out the spoon full of the, of the dish and then they can taste it and don't forget to blow it. If you feed them with very hot food. Um, if they are a bit smaller you can put a stool in front of the cooker so they can stand up on it and then they can reach, reach up. And or sometimes even you can put a chair there or something but make sure that this chair is not a fold up chair and that they can slip uh, down from there. Okay. So when you put the, when you put the pastry in to the frying pan you need to lift up your frying pan off the fryer. Now you will both need a spatula to lift up your pancake. There you go. Thank you. And have you made a plate ready? Um, not yet. Uh huh, okay. So let's see if you can turn it over. Can I do it? Brilliant, very good!
