What is the 4 on the Floor Jazz Drum Beat?

Hi I'm Shaun Schaefer on behalf of Expert Village. And today we're going to be learning how to play a basic Jazz drum beat. So now that we have played our basic Jazz drum beat. You got your main ingredients with the right cymbal playing that right pattern. And you get your High Hat on tune four which is the most important thing. Remember? We're going to investigate maybe some different types of or one other type of Jazz beat. The same thing but it's kind of common type of Jazz beat. And it's called Four on the Floor. And it's where you play the pattern on the right and the high Hat. And you actually play the Kick drum on beat one, two, three and four. So and it kind of gives it like a stomp type of feel. So let's take a look at playing the Kick drum. So we're going to go ahead. And this type of beat is kind of a quicker beat. It's not really slow. We can practice it slow. But it's really kind of primarily for an upbeat number. So let's take a look at the Kick drum and we're just going to play on beats one, two, three and four. So beat one, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. What's that in the High Hat on two and four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. Two, four. One, two, three, four. Two, four. Two, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. You can already see that how it's a quicker beat and it is kind of like a stomp feel, you know. Just real swanky stomp just like the upbeat. and it really gets the crowd into it. Okay. So let?s take look at what the next step is in the Four on the Floor Jazz drum beat.
