How to Play a Db Dim to a Gb Altered Piano Chord

Now we have our minor two-five going into B minor. And it's D flat half diminished going into G flat altered, or it could also be C sharp half diminished going into F sharp altered. C sharp and D flat are the same note and F sharp and G flat are the same note as well. So either way, D flat is derived out of D major, right. Here's our D major. And we just slide it down a notch and your get this D flat half diminished. And then if we go to G flat here's our flat three and our three and our flat seven. Again, we want to get our altered pattern down, half, whole, half, whole, whole, whole. And again you can play any of the notes out of this scale. So we've got D flat half diminished to G flat altered and then it goes to B minor. And that's your minor two-five for B minor.
