How to Play an Ab Dim to a Db Altered Piano Chord

Now we're going to look at our minor two-five going into G flat minor, which A flat half diminished and D flat altered. So A flat half diminished comes out of A major. So if this is our A major scale, right. Then we're going to slide it down a notch. There's A major, there's A flat half diminished right there. And then our D flat altered, if we get one, three and flat seven. There's our quick voicing, one, flat three, three and flat seven. But again, you want to get that pattern, half step, whole step, half step, whole, whole, whole. Pretty easy pattern. So we have this, and it goes into G flat minor to B seven. A flat half diminished, D flat altered, G flat minor, B seven. And that's your minor two-five to G flat minor.
