Fuel Efficiency Tips: Avoid Idling

Hi! I'm Brian, a mechanic at Rony's Car Pros in Culver City, California and I am here on behalf of Expert Village to talk to you about fuel efficiency. One way to save gas would be to avoid unexcessive idling. By idling, you are sitting in the car not going anywhere, where you are getting no miles to the gallon on gas. So when you start your car up, warm up from 15 to 30 seconds and then start driving it until your car warms up to operating temperature. Also, when you go through the drive through, you are just idling so get out of the car and go into the restaurant and that will save you gas. If you find yourself in bumper bumper traffic and you could turn your air conditioner off and open a window. This will also save gas.
