Understand the L-Pattern for a Dog Show

Hi! My name is Gretchen Brown. I have been teaching conformation training and handling professionally for 20 some odd years. I am coming today on behalf of expertvillage.com to teach you how to train and show your show dog. Another pattern to teach your dog is an L pattern. You will go away from the judge, straight away you will go across the top of the ring and then you will come back to the judge the same way you went out. If it is a green dog slow down do not try and move it too fast until you have taught the dog what direction they are heading. Many young dogs will sit as you come in, not to worry, just calmly tell them, no and reposition them… good boy. I hope I have been of some help to you this afternoon. You can contact me through the website commanddogtraining.com. We run classes every Wednesday night and we are based out at Fort Lauderdale. Thank you.
