How to Iron Dress Shirt Back Sleeves

Hello, I'm Donna Beth Joy Shapiro on behalf of ExpertVillage.com and today I'm going to show you how to iron a shirt. Once you get to this side, you can correct a little bit of that inevitable mess that you are going to get. Some people actually iron this side first and then flip it over. I don't do it because if you do iron this side first and then flip it over, you are going to get wrinkles all over again. Then you spray that and get that done and then down here, you just do the best that you can. I think that it's actually this part of the shirt that makes people think that they can't iron shirts and that they would just rather take it to the dry cleaner. It is a little frustrating and sometimes, depending on the construction of the shirt and the sleeves, you never can get it completely smooth. You just do the best that you can. For those of you who take your shirts to the dry cleaner, I think if you actually stop and look, you would see that the dry cleaner doesn't always get it completely flat either. So, this looks pretty good. You want to make sure that you dry up any of those splatters that you might have gotten from the spray starch, if that's what you are using. That looks pretty good. Now you start the process all over again.
