Hi, this is Phil Coonrod on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to talk about Madden '08. Okay, up next we are going to talk about the strengths and weaknesses of this quarter defense. Obviously the biggest strength is in the pass game, you have yet another defensive back if you choose. You can run a lot of different plays with this. I am going to actually going to go into the play calling screen so you can see, I don't know if you are going to be able to see on your screen but this cover three I have a lot of protection. I have my d-thirds covered, I have my flats covered, and I still have three guys taking care of that mid range so if you want to do all those guys except for the three back in pass coverage. If you run zone defense you are going to have all your zones, all your bases covered. But the thing I probably like the most out of this corner defense is you can blitz a lot of different ways with this. You can blitz basically any one of these guys and you are still going to have enough speed on the field to compensate for. Because most of the time when you blitz you are going to be in a man coverage so you can blitz a couple of guys and still have enough speed on the field to have guys that can cover wide receivers. So big time plus for me, I love the blitz so I like to run a lot of, you will see how many blitzing plays there are. You have got a couple of defensive backs and a linebacker blizting on that particular highlighted play, you have both your inside defensive backs blitzing on this particular play. There is a lot of man coverage in this one because there are a lot of blitzes so obviously passing game, huge plus. Lot of quarterback pressure options and that is what I try to do more than anything else, get pressure on the quarterback so really good formation for that. Obviously, a weakness is you do not want to run this formation against some running plays if it is not late in the game and they are not in a situation where they need to score points, I would probably try to stay away from this defense and run more of a dime defense. Because if they do run the ball you are really going to be exploited. You have a lot of mismatch issues here. You only have three big guys and a linebacker so maybe four, big bodied guys that can take up space and basically a lot of these defensive backs are just going to get mowed over if they try to run the ball. So you definitely want to make sure they are not in a situation where they are trying to score, its not an obvious. You want to only use this in completely obvious passing downs, but as far as what you can do when they are in the passing game, this is a great, probably my favorite defense.
