Hi! I’m Monica. Another stretch you can do for your median nerve is this one here. Well actually, let me show you the motion first. This type of motion. This again is going to get the median nerve. We just talked about how you can bend your fingers back, your wrists back, your thumb, palm up, and pull. Well now, what you can do is add elbow extension and bringing your arm back. So bringing your shoulder just out like this, while maintaining the previous hand stuff that we just went over. So right in this position here, you should be able to feel a nice stretch with this even if you don’t have any carpal tunnel problems. I can actually feel it all right down into here and then down into my fingertips. Again, with your hand like this you just slowly straighten your elbow as far as you can tolerate. If the elbow is straight is fine. You need to start bringing your arm back right like this. So you get that nice stretch and that should not be painful, but nice and tolerable.
