Battlestations Midway Squadron Command Escort

DIXON GILLETTE: Welcome back to Expert Village. My name is Dixon Gillette. Let's continue our guide on how to play Battlestations: Midway. Alright, now, let's talk a little bit about escorting. You can order the other members in your squadron to escort either another aerial unit or a ship. To do so, push Tab on your keyboard to get you to the map screen. So, here, we can see our squadron and the friendly destroyer that we want to escort. To order your aircraft to escort this destroyer, place the crosshairs directly over the ship and right click on the mouse button or mouse button 2. Once we have our aircraft set up on an escort mission, they will attack any enemy aircraft that come within two miles. Also, wherever the ship goes, this aircraft will essentially circle this craft until you give them another order. So, now, you can see our aircraft are now escorting our destroyer. Now, these aircraft will attack any other craft that comes in within a two-mile radius provided that you have the Free Fire command turned on. By default, aircraft cannot be issued a free move command. That's because aircraft can only attack a target by moving to it. So, there is no point to have the free move command available to you to use.
