Hi! I’m Monica and another stretch we are going to do, for carpal tunnel syndrome, is going to be stretching out the palm of your hands. The carpal tunnel actually runs right down in through here, between these two eminences. We are going to try and stretch out that area. The easiest way to do that is, you can actually stabilize your arm right here on the table, and just pulling up gently on the other side. Again, it’s like if you are trying to push in this part right here. You are trying to open up the space right here in the middle of your palm. Again, just pressing on a table and then gently pulling up on the other side is going to give you nice stretch there. If you want to hold it anywhere between 30 and 60 seconds, opening things up in there. It should not be painful at all. If it is too painful, then try not to stretch things out quite as much. You can also do the stretch manually, but again this is usually the best method when you are just trying to stretch out by yourself.
