Offensive Y Button Audibles in Madden 08

Hey this is Phil Coonrod on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to talk about Madden '08. Alright in this particular segment, in this particular video we're going to talk about the Y button on the offense of audibles. You see we're in the offensive audible section. A philosophy I try to use with my audibles is I run out of single back a lot, so I'm going to set most if not all of my audibles into single back. And what I like to do with my Y button, which is the first option you have here on your screen, you notice the B button isn't on there because in the game when you try to call an audible the B button will be the cancel button. So the Y button will be our first one, and what I like to do is I like to do a play action pass on my Y button. So I'm going to select Y and then I'm going to go by formation because I know I want single back, I'm going to select single back, then I'm going to try to find a play action pass that I like, and what I'd like to have is a D pattern on it because it's that situation I was talking about. If the safety creeps down I want to burn him, so, I'm going to go with this flanker cross route. And you'll notice I'll have either Marvin or Reggie because I'm using Indianapolis' play book, I'll have one of my wide outs on the outside going deep, I got a middle option if he's not open, and then I can also audible one of my tight ends there to hit that flat where the X receivers at. So this is going to be a really good option for me on my Y. I really like this play.
