How to Pass the Ball in Madden '08

Hey this is Phil Coonrad on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to talk about Madden '08. The next up on our controls series for Madden '08 is the passing series. And it's pretty easy. I'm just going to practice to illustrate it a little better. All these icons are going to come up when you're in your passing. X, Y, RB, A, and B are all going to come up, and you just choose which one you want to throw it to. I chose A that time, and this time I'll throw to X, but you get the idea. Just choose which one you want to throw to. You hold it down harder to throw, I'll lob one real quick. I'll lob one to B, that was a lob, a terrible pass at that. But then I'll throw a bullet this time. See the difference? So you just hold it down harder to throw the ball. And then your throw away button, which is going to be key at some point for you, is to click on your R stick. And then one more thing, if you get into trouble and you need to scramble, just hold your R button down and you'll sprint and you can still throw. And then the very last thing is ball placement, so if you want to throw low, you click down on your L stick. I'll throw low to him this time and see that, that one was low. And I'll throw to the left of a receiver this time, I'm going to choose my A receiver, I'll choose my X and throw left of him. You can see how it makes him come and stop. This directs which directions to the receiver you want to throw, high, low, right or left. And those are the main passing controls of Madden '08.
