Martha here is going to be showing a variation of head stand, eka pada sirsasana, one legged head stand. It's a beautiful pose that does help engage the core muscles. So I'm going to have her go ahead and come into child pose, taking the opportunity to breathe, take a breath or two. Go ahead and bring your elbows underneath your shoulders, measure off -very, very important to measure off every single time. Go ahead and make your tripod. Place that spot on your head where you would balance a book. Now notice how her hands are very, very relaxed. She's not clinching them; she's easing into the pose. Now go ahead and tuck your toes, yes, lifting up into your head stand. Beautiful. She's pressing into her tripod, pulling in through the belly. Anytime you like, Martha, you can lower one leg down at a time. She is engaging her core muscles as she lowers that leg down and lifts it up, other side. Beautiful. And then coming out, lowering down, gently with control, beautiful, and lowering into child pose, eka pada sirsasana.
